I have heard a few people say that the Bible states that animals dont have souls. Again the Bible reveals that animals have a soul God loves them and they will all be a part of the coming kingdom of God as they are not subject to. The Bible says that both animals and humans are souls.

The Bible tells us that we have the image of God in a way that animals do. Christ died to save the souls of human beings not animals. If you are defining the soul as we did above as the place where your emotions flow out of where you think reason and make decisions then absolutely animals have souls.

However nowhere does Scripture explicitly state that animals do not have souls. I have heard a few people say that the bible states that animals dont have souls. During a recent public appearance Pope Francis comforted a boy whose dog had just died saying One day we will see our animals again in eternity.

Animals certainly have emotions can feel pain and happiness can even understand human communication sometimesbut that doesnt mean they have souls or what we normally think of as the human spirit. In this sense animals do have souls and so do plants. Though the Bible does not clearly state whether or not animals have souls and thus can be reborn more and more religious leaders are considering the prospect.
