Gunsmith Cats is a series of manga and anime work by Kenichi Sonoda.
Gunsmith cats manga review. This 1995 OVA rather then start adapting the manga from page 1 or choosing the very best of Sonodas stories decided to create an anime original plot. Gunsmith Cats is one of the best action manga you can find on the North American market as well as one of my personal favorites. Gunsmith Cats is about the exploits of the owner of a Gun shop in Chicago.
The manga is available in English from Dark Horse. New characters are introduced often enough to keep things interesting but infrequently enough that I could actually keep track of them. The only drawback was Dark Horse policy of flipping the art to conform with westerns expectation of left-to-right reading.
Video Gunsmith Cats gets a 43 regular transfer although it is an NTSC disc. Gunsmith Cats boiled down to its essentials is girls guns and grenades. Gunsmith Cats maybe still holds that cult status now even after the internet has no doubt introduced more folks to this mid-90s OVA.
Mistys Run brings to a close the adventures of Rally Vincent the hottest bounty hunter Chicago has ever known and one of mangas most popular heroines in recent memory. It was printed on quality paper and for most part was a very well received series. One day Bill Collins an agent for the Chicago branch of the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives blackmails Rally.
The story centers on two young women 19-year old Irene Rally Vincent and her partner 17-year old Minnie May Hopkins. Gunsmith Cats is all about guns muscle cars and sexy girls. Sure there were some Mobile Suit Gundam titles that intrigued me but aside from that GSC and a few other titles nothing else of manga really grabbed me.
Gunsmith Cats was originally published by Dark Horse comic in nine separate volumes. StorySetup If you are a fan of the Gunsmith Cats manga and youre watching this for the first time youre going to be in for some disappointment as this OVA isnt connected to the comic very much. Simplistic yet attractive characters set against highly detailed backdrops with clean shading and lots of speed lines.
